Various news stories in brief:
Hard at work on that exciting creative project I mentioned some time ago. Well, obviously, since I'm writing this, I'm not hard at work on it at this precise second, but we're getting somewhere. More details to follow - promise.
Went to a 50th birthday party t'other night and found myself, for the first and possibly only time in my life, dancing to 'Rabbit' by Chas & Dave. (For those of you outside the UK and unacquainted with Chas & Dave, I imagine you could find some of their vast body of work on YouTube. Although whether you'd want to or not is an entirely different matter.)
We had a bit of snow last night. Leaving the house just before 7 to go to a prayer thing at church, it was quite sleaty, and given that it had been fairly damp during the day, we didn't expect it to settle. By the time we left the prayer thing about quarter past ten, there was a couple of inches outside and it was still coming down pretty thick. So when we got home, housemate and I unleashed our inner children by writing various things in the snow and both making our first ever attempts at snow angels. Mine looked more like a snow blob, to be honest, but it was a laugh anyway. The snow seemed to have stopped soon after, and it's mostly gone now, but the novelty of snow in November in Britain just cheered us up somewhat.
And finally, a word to the wise - never ever drop a Bible on your laptop. I did, and now the @ button (which also does apostrophes) has fallen off and I'm not sure how to stick it back on. Any suggestions gratefully received.
