Dragon's Den, here I come...

Surreal sign seen outside a shop today:
WALK-IN HAIRDRESSERS

Now, of course what they meant was that you didn't need to make an appointment, you could just turn up and have your hair done. But the wording just amused me - what other way could you have your hair cut? I suppose you could do some sort of mail order thing, where you send off your hair with a stamped addressed envelope and it comes back to you within 28 days in a completely different style. Then again, that would no doubt be dying out (no pun intended) by now, and being replaced by internet hairdressing; well, you can do just about everything else online without having to leave your home, so why not? Just pop your hair into the disc drive, wait a while for it to be reformatted, and then Bob's your proverbial uncle. Why has nobody thought of this amazing business idea before?

In other news, no pub quiz action tonight; Knowledge Girl tired after a busy weekend, and Pub Quiz Man thinking a night in would be good, bearing in mind everything else he's got going on in the next week or so.

In other other news, planning committee met tonight to sort out cell Christmas lunch. More or less sorted. Now we just have to tell our Benevolent Host what we're going to do to his house... and see whether he'll still let us use it.

In other other other news, we are going to remember to put the rubbish out tonight. Because it's starting to smell. And as we did a few weeks ago when we realised we hadn't put the recycling out in ages, we may have to drop some of it in our neighbours' recycling boxes while they're not looking, because it won't all fit in ours...
