I'm having another of those "got so many things I want to blog about and can't decide which of them to go with" moods happening again at the moment, so this is a brief overview of them all:
I like organising things - as long as they're straightforward and easy to organise. Unfortunately, when I'm waiting for someone to give me information that I then need to give to lots of other people, and that information is not forthcoming and I'm running out of time to chase it up, it does not make Steve a calm and happy bunny. No, it makes him a little bit stressed and agitated and, even though he's not being chased by angry mobs shouting, "come on, where's the information? We need it now!", it still leaves him worrying that he's letting them all down, even though he's done just about all he can. I know, I know, Matthew 6 and everything, but sometimes (i.e. pretty much all the time) it's so much easier said than done.
This afternoon I am going to be standing in the cold singing for a couple of hours. It's the annual Carols In The City event in Birmingham, and I'll be singing in a mobile choir with some folks from my church outside the library. Then a bit later, there's the main carol concert in the square, where I'll be in the choir onstage. It's one of the highlights of my year, but given how cold it is, I'm not sure how my vocal chords will cope with it all...
I am hoping this weekend I will be able to finally get my new toy up and running. A couple of weeks ago I got a digital camera as an early Christmas present from my parents, and there should be some fun photo opportunities to be had, particularly tomorrow. Then, if I can just work out how to put them on here, you may finally get to see my exciting world rather than just reading about it... Any advice on how to do that would be gratefully received.
Well, enough bloggage, I'd love to tell you more, but time constraints and the all-too-public nature of the internet, mean that there are some things I'll have to keep quiet about for now. On with the crazy day, and the crazy weekend.
