The overtime freeze at work has mixed blessings. On the down side, I have noticed a dramatic drop in my income. On the plus side though, I've got my Saturdays back. Not that there was ever any compulsion to work on a Saturday. I just chose to as the extra money made it worthwile.
So, this morning I thoroughly enjoyed a lie in. Once I had dragged myself up, I went out to do some shopping. First off, to the Garden Centre. (Goodness me, how middle aged!). Picked up some compost, a few pot plant type things and a rosebush. Then on to Sainsbury's to get basic provisons for tonights dinner.
While wandering round, I saw a nice digital camera. As I had some money given to me at Christmas that I haven't spent yet, I decided to buy it. Look forward to me experimenting getting pics on my blog in the future!
I'm cooking tonight. We're having a seafood paella (one of my specialities) followed by a banana and gingernut trifle, the recipe for which I founhd in last weeks Guardian Weekend magazine (or it may have been the week before). Ooh, I'm feeling hungry already....
