Only one day left at work before I begin instructing again. I've been taking a certain amount of childish pleasure in signing off my reports "SEP W/C 5/3/07". SEP, of course, standing for "Somebody Else's Problem"! This week, I've mainly been saying goodbye to my customers who I've got to know quite well over the past year. Yesterday I made my final visit to New Covent Garden Market. Of all the customers who I'll miss, I think I'll miss the ones in the market more than any. I'll also miss some of the great guys I've been working with. However, I won't miss the big supermarket beginning with S. Neither will I miss my van, horrible, sluggish, noisy uncomfortable thing, and I definitely won't miss having to spend one week every month being "on call" and be at everyones beck and call 24 hours a day, so the things I won't miss definitely outweigh the things I will.
Things are nearly all set to start instructing on Monday. I pick the car up on Saturday (as mentioned in previous entries) and my diary is slowly filling up, so I know I've at least got enough work to cover my franchise fee. Only one thing is missing though.
It's been 2 weeks since I passed my test but the boss man of the school left it until today to order the roof sign for my car, so that won't be ready until the end of next week. It looks as though I'll be driving around with normal L plates on the car for the time being.
