As an unmanned drone flies over the streets of lebanon,
As bombs fall on the cities of Haifa and Beruit
As families hide in the basements
We pray for peace
As a forgotten cluster bomb explodes in a field
And the children playing there scream and run
As a mother weeps at her childs graveside
grieving for the innocent victims
We pray for peace
As a women shops in a market in Baghdad
As men queue to find work
As children play in the school yard
And the soldiers patrol the streets
We pray for peace
As a nations youth invade a land
and parents watch the televised war
As the prayers are said for safe returns
And flag draped coffins are lowered into the ground
We pray for peace
As the thousands march through cities
As the samba plays, As the children laugh
As the speeches are made, and the people cheer
As the peace flags fly and people resist
We fight for peace
