Regular readers of my blog will know that I've written a book.

It's had very positive reviews, and if you've read this blog for a long, long, long time you may remember that at least one person has commented on some thing I've written and said I should get it pubished. And I have.

I had a very traumatic experience at Greenbelt - I was interviewed as part of the unusal suspects and read some pieces from my <a href= http://www.proost.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=2&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=3&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26, and they went down very well.

I'm not very good at the whole pubicity "buy my book it's great" thing - but I'm trying very hard. So here is my attempt at selling my book to you, my gentle readers...

The book is a cumilation of the last 4 years of my writing - if you buy the book you can see edited, polished, complete pieces, some of which had their first appearance as blog posts. I've been told that my writing is moving, deep and thought-provoking. Like so much creativity, it comes from a part of me that is quite dark, and many of the pieces have difficult themes - depression, body image, violence and war are all delt with in course of the poems/prayers/liturgies.

At the reading Jon Birch said that many of the pieces in the bookshowed that poetry and liturgy didn't have to be seperate things. I didn't set out to blur the boundries between poems, prayers and liturgies. It just happened as a by product of my writing. Even my academic essays are flowery and poetic.

So the upshot of this note is....buy my book. It's great.
