A day to day run up of greenbelt, just incase anyone is interested!

Friday: As landlady, landlord, bloke from church (john) and van containing altworship service (and a dog getting dropped off at landladys mother's) was leaving home at 8am i was up and raring to go then. So by the time my lift turned up at about 10am (two books and a slice of toast after everyone else set off) i was wrist banded up and ready to rush off!

Got into a car and had a long and boring car journey down to cheltenham. We stopped off at Tamworth services, this made me hyper, as we got nearer to greenbelt i got more and more excited!

We arrived at about 4pm and set up a venue, then it was just enough time to drop off my bag in teh tent i was sharing and head off to the first shipmeet of the weekend!

the shipmeet was fun, meeting with random people i had only virtually met before was great fun and i was very excited seeing old friends again and meeting new ones!

i left the pub to go and see the orthodox vespers with Dyfrig and listened to Bishop Stevens talk on orthodoxy with an interesting/inspiring bit on exam results day...(i failed by the way)

the evening ended with me going to see Rev. Gerald Ambulance at the caberet. The rev was very inspiring and interesting, i'm sure god was there and something touched me deeply during the Rev's songs. On a related note, the liturgy bit at teh beginning of the cabereat was absolutely wonderful!!!

Saturday

Saturday morning started off my first panic of the weekend, i worked out i had to be up by 7am in order to get to the orthodox vespers rehersal/set upy bit at 8am. Waking up at 7 i thought i had ages, until i realised my phone was 40 mins slow. not good. i fried some bread for breakfast and ran. Geting there kindof on time, and doing the service and having fun.

at 2pm i led a small group in the seminar done by visions which despite some critisism was well recieved by most people. (good job really, took ages to prepare....)

At 5pm i went to a seminar on hurting ones own body. That was interesting, my knife was handed over to someone for safe keeping (later on i kicked myself for that, as it was needed for completely legitimate reasons, like opening pasta sauce and stuff like that)

At some point during teh day i met up with Dave C and found a catepillar which i am sure is the jesus of the catepillar world...it was a very sweet little thing that jumped off a tree onto dave's head. The catepillar then proceded to head for the relitive safety of the table football in the tiny tea tent where it got trodden on. nooooooooooooo....the catepiller stopped moving! It didn''t move for quite a while and put a dampener on our weekends...a catepillar had died! :( But no! The catepillar was raised by the power of....errr....err.....something. It started to move! it wiggled away and several small children realised that the two big people that were lying in the grass looking at something might have found something interesting and came over to see us. it was then we made our escape...almost.

During the conversation with dave c i mentioned that i wanted to meet steve tomkins/rev.gerald...and it was true, i did want to meet him, but was also scared of meeting him...so when dave pointed to a guy lying on the floor outside the tiny tea tent and said it was steve toms, i didn't believe him. to my relief dave thought steve was on the phone and we walked off...until i made my first silly mistake...i said that it didn't look as if he was on the phone, and we went back and i talked to steve tomkins. I found it scary, but then again, i am a wimp...

After a chat with steve (where i relaxed enough to say more than yes...no...*shrug* ) we headed off to the pub and told people that there was a lunch type thing at teh ship campsite (the half i was staying at) on sunday...

but that, as mr kipling (and probably lots of other people) says is another story!
