Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to give the reasons for not declining my grades before Janurary. Due to various circumstances beyond my control I have suffered from clinical depression for the past two years, which fluctuates between severe depression and mild depression depending on how other factors within my life affect me.

Since september I have been suffering from fairly severe depression, triggered off by the death of two family friends in quick sucession. This, and other life events has meant that it has been difficult for me to come into college, and as a result I found it difficult to cope with other stresses, or jobs that needed doing.

I wish to decline the grades that I recieved in Religious Studies and Philosophy because I feel that I did not perform to the best of my abilitly in the exams that I did sit, and was unable to sit some of my exams due to an anxiety attack disorder.
I hope that you find my explaination of events satisfactory and am very sorry for any inconveniance that I have caused by not declining my grades by the right date.

Yours faithfully,
