I have Lemly to thank for this idea

I have been taking advantage of the bamphires not being here (grandparents are so lovely!) for a week to finally sort out the 'new' flat how I want it: - putting things away, clearing and re-packing drawers, etc.

During this process, gained a few more boxes from g'parents' attic. These include old photos - like our wedding ones!, a skalextric, some pyrex dishes and a box of stuff I just cldn't bear to part with.

Going through this box today, I have been ruthless. I found my gcse and a level cert's, plus my one and only horse riding rosette, and also some small plastic and china animals that I love.

Here's the problem. Husband and I are not exactly ornament people, and that is precisely what some of these are, even though I had great fun putting them into families as a child. However, we have no space, and some of them are chipped/faded.

Now I don't want to throw them away, nor do I want to store them in a box for the next 30 years, nor do I want to give them all to the kids at once, as it took a lot of pocket money and waiting for me to get them and I'm stingy. I want them to appreciate them, dammit!

Lemly's solution: Give them to R as 'prizes' for good behaviour. Maximum of 1 per week, should take about a year.
Thank you muchly for that - will probably do it, especially as I also have many bouncy balls to bribe D with.

Just thought of a problem - sets a bad precedent - what do I do after they run out?
