Rearranged work this week so I could go to Ds 'positive start' meeting with his teacher. Apparantly he is settling in well, is a very good listener, making friends, sharing, considerate, etc etc. He's basically wonderful (which some of us new already). He even had the biggest smile in the whole class today! What exactly are they teaching kids these days???
Of course this happens 2 days after he drew on the wall in his bedroom with felt tip pens... So long as he's lovely for other people it's bearable...
And yesterday, got in after work, having picked the bamphires up from school and R asked 'have you been to work today?' 'yes' I said 'so I don't have to work tomorrow.' 'Is that why you didn't come and look at my new classroom today?' cue bad words under breath as I managed to completely forget about the open afternoon at school.
You can please some of the people all of the time...
