R has my logic (oh no!) Unfortunately, I can't remember what convinced me and Lemly of this - I'll ask later.
D has his father's feet - he walked barefoot most of the way back from school (except for the bit where there's always broken glass) including over some very sharp-looking tarmac.
R claimed to be shy today to stop me leaving her at school. However, while clinging to my neck and saying 'I siy', the big grin on her face kind of gave the game away...
