Patience with patients

I'd never make a Florence Nightingale. I just said to the Smudgelet "Yes, I know you feel ill, you've told me so about a hundred times". I don't think this passes for good bedside manner, does it? He is proper poorly with a bug which I've today been told lasts about ten days. Poor lamb! And by the looks of it, he's going to have a companion in misery - the boys' room is going to be more like a ward - as Tiddles has developed a headache too and looks totally washed out. I may have to make an emergency dash for more calpol at this rate.

Proud mummy time, though - Tiddles did really well in his cycling. He came 33rd out of 52 - would have done even better if he hadn't fallen off his bike! He lost marks for not having a bell on his bike, which I thought was a bit rotten, and although he knows his Highway Code back to front (and the right way round) he didn't do to well on expressing his knowledge clearly enough in writing. But at least I feel confident to let him go riding round the estate now without running behind him all the way. Thank goodness for that!
