Who would have believed it possible? A little plain brown envelope just big enough to hold three tickets to the Sooty Show, in amongst a massive pile of papers and junk pending sorting. There it was, sitting smiling at me merrily. I found it. Eureka!
Today has been a steady drive through the mess which is otherwise known as my bedroom. I now have a floor. Yes, on all three sides of the bed. In fact, I can even see a space or two underneath the bed. This is a grand achievement. Now all I have to do is get it all OFF the bed again without letting it settle on the floor. I can do this. I'm not quite sure how, but, as the boys keep singing (somewhat out of key) "There can be miracles"!
I have to say, I love the film "The Prince of Egypt" - current favourite with the boys. The songs are rather catchy. And quite a few of the catchphrases seem suddenly to have become everyday parlance in Smudgie Towers - especially "You're playing with the big boys now", for some strange inexplicable reason.
At last Tiddles has returned from waiter duty at the church. He's been helping Auntie M serve teas and coffees to those visiting the Easter Garden. The downside to this is that I have had Smudgelet home alone and wanting entertaining. Good job he has a washing machine obsession - and that I have a mountain of washing needing doing. I am looking forward to the day he's old enough to do the ironing.
Now, back to the grindstone. Hmm... no, first of all I'd better find where I put that envelope down and put it SOMEWHERE SAFE !
