On the subject of not nagging the children about money...
With his sore shoulder, Tiddles was in pain trying to carry his school bag and his games kit. I went through the bag to take out anything he didn't need to take. Funny how he claimed he needed everything in there and yet when I'd finished it only contained one book and a pencil case! But the other discovery was.. in the bottom of his bag.... his missing bus pass!
Now, do I breath a sigh of relief that I don't have to pay out £5 for a new one? Or do I kill him because I've wasted £10 on bus fare for the last week?
(I won't even mention option three, which is to suspect him of having known it was there all along and having taken the opportunity to pocket the money... )
