Late night perambulations

Reorganised the fridge to fit all the delivery from Tesco in before bedtime.

Went outside to watch the lunar eclipse - amazing! Frustrating that the only cloud in the whole sky was in front of the moon, but fascinating to be able to watch the light creep over the surface of the moon and to see the edges glow. I longed to wake Tiddles and let him see it as he'd be so excited by it all, but if the eclipse of the moon is supposed to be an omen of disaster, there was the fear of a mammoth tantrum after the disturbed night! But Dad and I stood in awe at the spectacle, binoculars in hand.

Came indoors again to play the role of tooth fairy. Had to scour the whole house for a pound coin. Was half tempted to fulfil his idea of only getting 50p for every tooth but your first, but couldn't find a 50p either. Would 5p do? At last a pound appeared on my dressing table and I was able to raid the bedroom in search of the tooth. But where had he put it? Access to the window sill was severely hampered by a barricade of teddies, dirty clothes and random bits of lego (thank goodness I wore my slippers!) and then I discovered that - for ease of access for the fairy herself - he had put the box on the window-side of the blind, so I had to feel the length of it and track down the container, which promptly fell on the floor. Whoever would have thought that the tooth fairy would have such a hard time of it?

Now, what happened to my early night? No wonder I slept the afternoon away.

By the way, I got an email from school this morning. Yes, I was supposed to have returned to work today! Anyone got a brick wall I can borrow to bash my head against? Thanks for your prayers, though. I really do appreciate that.
