I don't believe it

New computer desk.

Purchased with 20% off for teachers. I foolishly thought this meant off the price, not off the components! Proving I was a teacher was easy - I just showed him my haggard looks and grey hair, but he told me that could just come from being a mother! So I had to find a wages slip somewhere.

Got it home. Two sets of filing cabinets and drawers, one corner desk, and one hutch. (Didn't know I had a rabbit!) Made the desk first. Good job I like jigsaws - there were no instructions!

Next task - the hutch. Opened the instructions and began to read. "If you have already made up the desk, please take it to pieces again before you begin building the hutch". I didn't. If you hear a resounding thud in the middle of the night, you'll know that, for the want of a nail, the computer desk was lost. My computer may crash literally. Makes a change from it crashing in the jargonesque sense of the word. In fact, it still isn't home, so the desk is safe until Friday.

Now I'm sitting looking at the filing cabinets. I could do with building one now, really, couldn't I? While it's a bit cooler? While I'm uninterrupted? While I'm too tired to be bothered and just want to go and sink into a deep deep luxurious sleep? Build a filing cabinet? I'd rather ride my bike!
