I was going to entitle this wiblog "It never rains but it pours" but I decided on consideration that that might be just a little tooooooo graphic. Suffice to say that the anti-biotics presecribed for my ear infection, while not yet having any impact whatsoever on the horrid little blighters who have taken up residence in my ear, have had quite an impressive impact on my digestive system in the form of a less-than-pleasant side effect. Still, it won me a day at home today, and another tomorrow seeing as the doctor wants me simply to ride the storm and drink lots of water!
Not sure how Tiddles will react to being told there's no Scouts tonight. Not that he should be going anyway. He was told that any tiredness incidents during the week after he insisted on going despite being overtired would result in a month off. But I really must be mellowing, I'd decided to let him go.
The bedroom is looking, well, a little as though they're making some effort to tidy it up. It certainly deserves some form of reward, though I do believe the time spent tidying was considerably outweighed by the time spent arguing and playing. Smudgelet demonstrated his supreme intelligence by deciding to use the under-bed box (provided by a despairing honorary aunt M who could think of no better way to rescue me from this dilemma) to put his school reading folder in! Having finally retrieved this, he's now undecided on how to use it to store his myriad of possessions (almost all of which are in pieces).
His Godfather came round this afternoon to deliver two delightful photographs of the boys taken on Tiddles' birthday. (The one of Smudgelet proved a necessity as he suddenly realised that Smudgelet refuses to be left out of anything). You know, I can look at those photos and suddenly my Smudgelets are transformed into adorable angels! Weird!
