OK, I admit it... Jack, you were right. Mind you, if I'd gone to the doctor on Friday, I'd have seen the one who wanted me to wait three weeks and see what happened, rather than the one I saw today who informed me that I'm not a hypochondriac. That's always good to know. :D Apparently the inside of my ear is a repulsive mess (Oh thanks for the compliment, Doc!) and certainly needs sorting out. I have antibiotic tablets and antibiotic eardrops - the ones that make you get better as quickly as possible because they're so painful to administer! - and an appointment to go back in ten days time for a possible referral to ENT if there isn't a radical improvement.
Hooray, hooray, hooray!
I couldn't believe it yesterday when I was trying to locate the sound of buzzing in my friend's lounge. I was arguing with her that it was coming from the fireplace in front of me and she was convinced it was coming from the windowsill directly behind me. Sure enough, there in the window was a huge bluebottle trapped in the web of a tiny spider, who was making an impressive job of casseroling him. Obviously my ability to work out direction of sounds is a little up the creek! To think, I've probably been telling off the wrong children for whispering during lessons.
Hmm, I've just checked my stats and discovered that I should never have mentioned the author's visit to the school. Now if any of the kids at school google for the name of the book, they'll come straight to my wiblog! Hee hee - never mind. they'd never be able to read it! ;)
