I have precisely five minutes here before I go and tackle my room.
This time I am determined to get it done.. completely done.. and totally habitable.. and restful.. and the sanctuary I have been long planning for it to be. For this purpose I have precisely one and a half hours of planned peace - no Dad, no children, no distractions. (Even no ship!) At 11.25 I shall return here and post my success.

This afternoon is dedicated to homework and housework. The general housework that got overlooked last week while busy wearing my Florence Nightingale hat. If I get the bedroom done, I know I will quite enjoy the general cleaning (of course, my cleaner was off sick last week with inimitable timing! :( ) and Smudgelet will get on quickly with his homework in his eagerness to help! Especially as I have promised tomorrow will be a Family day. A trip to our own church is high on the agenda........ especially as I seem somehow to have offered to play the organ - must have been delirious somehow! ..... and of course we'll call in to see Dad. Then the boys are putting forward three suggestions each of how they'd most like to spend the day and I am choosing from them and my own choices. So far into the pot we have: swimming, renting a video and having a cinema evening, going to Amazon World, going to Jungle Jims, making the models they got for Christmas, baking, going to the ci nema.... I wonder how much you can fit into one weekend's respite without burning out! :D
