You know, I still want to do it!
Thank you for your encouraging comments. I am sure I am capable of it, if I really put my mind to it. Mind you, I had my doubts when I found myself slightly out of breath walking from the car park to the library. Now that is shocking! But I was good. Although I had a hot chocolate (due to being soaked to the skin), I didn't have a pudding when we stopped for a bit of lunch.
Dad's in mixed spirits - banking on coming home as soon as humanly possible, despite being looked after incredibly well at the hospice and having far more company than he'd have at home. He reckons he's feeling much better, though he's still coughing and mentally he's still not totally with it. I hope he's not home too soon as he's still really niggly when I go in and I am so enjoying the break and don't feel quite ready to go back to the drudgery of caring for an extra dependant quite yet. Please give me a day or two so I can enjoy a couple of totally free afternoons while the boys are at school - please.
Still, we've settled most of our library fines - apart from the two books, inevitably, which we can't find anywhere. I nearly died: £17 in library fines !!!!!!!!
Votes for tomorrow's activities now include Polar Express at the cinema, swimming at a different pool, Amazon World, making an electric buggy, going to the mainland (not a chance, buddy!), watching a video together, Jungle Jim's... and I suggested a nice lie in, sorting out the towels cupboard, doing the ironing...
