The boys and I negotiated a temporary peace settlement this morning - we would try to get through a whole morning hour without me getting cross with them. So far there have only been three breeches of this agreement. a) in the pile of clean and ironed clothes I asked them to put away yesterday there were several pairs of school socks... but this morning they haven't got any to wear anywhere in their room; b) To avert the impending telling-off crisis, I directed them into the lounge where there is a further pile of clean school uniform... which they were totally unable to find and started looking for it on my desk... MY DESK!; c) despite the rule being that at 7.30 I should be able to go and use the bathroom because they've been in and done their teeth, it is now 7.33 and they haven't even gone in there yet.
What would Napoleon do?
