Probably not a good idea to assume that the "someone you're expecting" knock at the open front door will be the sister whose arrival is imminent. Probably advisable not to call out "I'm in the lounge, come on in". Certainly advisable not to get up from the computer and turn expecting to give your big sister a hug and a kiss.
The Gas Man is rather lovely, though!
