I am astounded. I did it. I posted my WISE parcel off in a reasonable space of time between getting the details of my WISEEE and Christmas sneaking up on me and catching me out. Just as well, I guess, seeing as the Christmas ornament won't be a fat lot of use in March. I broke the rules slightly, mind, and sent a "random silly thing" with the ornament, simply because I saw it when I was ornament shopping and somehow just couldn't resist.
I've done most of my Christmas shopping already - only the Smudgelet to go, and one or two tricky ones where I'm not sure what to get. The trouble with our current lack of joy is that the Smudgelet is, for once, finding it really difficult to write his letter to Santa with hints of what he'd like for Christmas... he says he just doesn't want anything (except, of course, the obvious - his brother back). I could see this as an opportunity to save money but somehow I think he might take umbrage somewhat at finding I'd taken him at his word. So I am biding my time, making a mental note of things I see which might just fit the bill, and waiting to see how things develop.
ON the theme of things developing, I am developing a rather achey body!
