I may or may not have mentioned that we went to Scotland. I'm sure you don't read Jack the Lass's blog so you probably haven't gathered that our half term was spent in the frozen north. This is where I get to try out posting photos. (Clicking on any one of these will take you to my flickr site where you can see the rest of our photos if you're feeling particularly masochistic). I should point out that several of them were taken by the Smudgelet who has been infected with the "arty photo" bug, thanks to Jack (and Bertha the purple cow).

Here are two of his. Rather nice, I think, though I daren't tell him as much or I'd never hear the end of it. He's already commenting that his digital camera isn't really good enough for him any more. Hmmm.. maybe Jack would like to buy him one for Christmas!

The Science Centre was great fun, of course. I think the big kids had as much fun as the little one. In self-sacrificing manner, I allowed Derf to take the Smudgelet up the tower and, despite longing for the chance to enjoy the vertigo-inducing ride to the highest heights in a tower that turns with the wind, I forced myself to keep Jack company in the cafe and support local retail outlets by purchasing coffee and cakes. I'd be hard pushed to say what was most fun that day, though, as it was all brilliant, including meeting the grown-up version of scz over dinner. (And having an impromptu hour or two in the shops on the following morning because my brother had a puncture on his way over to pick us up!)
