Strange!

It's very very strange. First the robot - remember the Christmas robot which died but then kept laughing maniacally in the middle of the night? Then it was the jumper with the snoring cat. I was sitting the other night, minding my own business, doing this and that, and suddenly a snoring noise came from the washing pile. Smudgelet's jumper had misfunctioned and was snoring uncontrollably. It snored, went silent, snored, went silent until I ended up hiding it in the fridge overnight to stop me causing it grievous bodily harm.

Then this morning..... Smudgelet comes running in "Mummy, mummy, my unicorn won't stop singing!" First I began patiently to explain that a little Irish fellow in green isn't actually a unicorn, but then the horrible truth dawned... the toy leprechaun I brought him back from Dublin had gone into overdrive and was playing "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" ad nauseam. Agggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! My hand was automatically reaching for the mallet by the time it decided to go quiet.

Life is still overshadowed by the need to sleep. Hour upon hour I have spent comatose this week, when I haven't been working. Let's hope this passes very quickly, as it doesn't bode well when you find yourself dropping off in the middle of Year Seven English! I even had to cancel Bible Study this week as there was no way I could stay awake for it. I have done my extra Bible reading as before, but have not taken it further. I managed to take the little one to his swimming lesson for the first time in ages, though, and to carry out an extra German lesson for a friend's daughter. Sehr gut!

Tiddles was a pain yesterday - shame, really. But it could have been worse.

I was an old meanie this morning and decided that my red shirt was the closest I could come to making an effort for Red Nose Day. Some of the kids here look good, but it's a pain that the excitement results in them being rude and unsettled. They just do not seem able to cope with the change in routine.

Achievement of the week - making it through to the weekend!
