I'm freeeeeeeeeeee :D Dad is at the hospital for the day, Smudgelet is at "Kidz Korner" (I can hardly bring myself to replicate that dreadful spelling) for the morning then off to respite for the afternoon, and Tiddles is busy trampolining, swimming and playing football until 2pm. So the morning is MINE ALL MINE :D

Hmmmm... I have just found a sock on the computer table. Strange. Typical, it is not one to which I was seeking a spare. I would love to know what happens to all those single socks that go wandering off into the night, leaving their loved ones behind them alone and neglected and not a lot of use! If things go on like this there'll be nothing for it but to amputate a leg each off the boys. They now appear to have thirty three odd socks
and only six actual pairs between them!

Dad's got a busy day ahead of him. He's got an appointment at the fracture clinic first. I have sent him with strict instructions to ask about physiotherapy to try and get his arms moving a bit more freely. Then he's got to go for his blood test for which he's been fasting for 14 hours!!!! He is under strict instructions NOT to have a cup of coffee between the two clinics!

He's planning to go and have some lunch and visit a friend who's just had an op before I meet him there at 3pm to go to the cancer clinic. I have the unenviable task of ensuring that he asks to be referred to an incontinence specialist. Last time the doctor was rather dismissive of the incontinence and basically said he'd have to learn to live with it.

Meanwhile I am delighted to report that the antidepressants have definitely kicked in! It's lovely - I feel myself again. I think the time off work has helped and I am going to ask the doctor this afternoon (yes, I have an appointment with my doctor, too!) if we can stretch it a bit ;) I actually woke up singing this morning, which used to be my wont, and immediately found myself playing around with the boys like I used to do - which of course sent them haywire and I ended up having to get cross to calm them down, but it was worth it ..... I think. I got loads achieved yesterday, too, and plan to do the same today. I actually want to do things! I've even been to B&Q and finally bought the tools to fix the tap in the bathroom! I'm a happy bunny! :D (Oh no, how unbearable!)

Progress on the decision making? Hmmm........ sister thinks I'm mad to even consider it, but then thinks it sounds the perfect solution if I can stick never having a life to myself again! Hmmmm...... I know my other sister will say the same. My brother refuses to acknowledge that there's a problem at all - he was the same when my mum was ill, he just wouldn't discuss it and told us we were all fussing too much. Bless him! Me? Goodness knows what I think about it. I am going to start information gathering this morning. Thanks for your prayers.

Now - three more sheets and five towels (yes, I iron towels) and I shall have reached THE BOTTOM OF THE IRONING PILE! Free indeed!
