You know, if I were of the type of personality to get addicted to things on the computer, I can imagine it would be easy to fritter away half the evening playing spider solitaire.
I've just been over to sort Dad out for the evening. Thanks to him, I have now rediscovered porridge. It's rather a nice feeling being full of berry-flavoured porridge on a cold winter's night. Although actually, Smudgelet informs me, it is spring and we must go out and fly kites because it's March and that's what you do in March.
I have also remembered, to my irritation, that my accordion is still in the boot of the car after taking it to church on Sunday to play in the service. It's not that I am worried about it being out in the cold, or being stolen - it's that it's the only thing heavy enough to barricade the kitchen door properly. Charlie, clever fellow that he is, has discovered how to open the kitchen door and come in and cry at my bedroom door at 2 a.m. for a bit of company.... or, of course, to bring me a small or not so small present in the early hours. So I have taken to tying the door handle to my accordion case. Not since Sunday, though! Must remember to put my slippers on in the morning.
Gosh, bedtime already? Where has half the evening gone?
