Good grief, is it still only half past four? These days spent being a mum are rather long! Surely I haven't still got tea to make, reading to hear, taking Smudgelet to Beavers, practising first aid with Tiddles for his Scout badge test tonight, taking Tiddles to Scouts, and going to a committee meeting at church still to fit into today! I'm shattered.
Great success has been had since last I blogged, what feels like three weeks ago. We have upset Grandad (he wanted to come with us this morning and I said no), been to the garden centre and bought compost and pots (the lady wants a photo when the sunflowers are grown), been into town for coffee and cakes, bought new school shoes at great expense (he's lost his, of course), embarrassed Smudgelet by taking him in the ladies' underwear section of M&S, come home and planted out thirty giant sunflower seedlings and twenty nasturtiums, planted yet another load of nasturtiums and marigolds, cooked dinner, appeased Grandad, done three loads of washing up, cleaned the kitchen floor, made coffee for a friend who dropped in on the way to the post office, and built another marble run. My kitchen is now full of flower pots. I have not yet done the aeroplane or the lego, or baked the cake which Smudgelet decided should also be an integral part of our day together.
I am now going to hide away the tooth which has mysteriously appeared in my jeans pocket before it falls out in the washing machine or something.
