Firstly, my ex-boyfriend got in touch and asked me to do him a favour by cantoring at his church on the weekend while his choir had the long weekend off. As a consequence, we met for lunch (really meeting for the first time after our break up a few years ago) so I could get the music, to reconcile and have a talk. I was nervous waiting for the lunch date and it started off a bit awkward but I think it actually turned out rather well. We talked honestly and found out about family members and things like that. We talked for over an hour before deciding we should both go back to work. I felt relieved and quite good after that.
A few days after and I was at the airport to farewell my boy who is now doing his post-grad studies in Glasgow. It was rather tearful time for me and I'm so glad that my sister came with me. She told me later she didn't hug me at the airport because she could see I would have lost it. Very true. The boy gave me a rather interesting stuffed animal as a present which has been accompanying me most places. I'm not sure exactly what it is, sort of a cross between a zebra and a hippo so I've nicknamed him Zebo:

Two days after that and I was at my best friend's wedding. It was a bigger-then-Ben-Hur type of wedding with an orchestra, choir (which I was singing in) and a Strauss Ball reception. It was a really nice ceremony. I also felt a tinge of sadness as I realised that I probably won't be spending as much time with him as he ventures into his married life.
Me before I left for the wedding. This dress was the first dress I tried on AND it was 50% off. I absolutely love it.
The wedding party. The bride made her dress and the bridesmaids. Pretty impressive.
