Thanks everybody for your very helpful comments and offers of hospitality.
Here are the plans at this stage. On the 1st of May, we (that is my boyfriend and I) will stay in or near London for a week or so. We will then move South-West towards Bath, Exeter (yes, really) and Bude. We will then move North into Wales (Port Talbot and Cardiff) and then go all the way across country possibly through Manchester and York to Lindisfarne Castle and surrounding area for a few weeks. We then migrate North to Scotland probably staying in Stirling but definately also going to Glasgow and Ediburgh. After that, who knows?
I will first have to properly sit down and see if that is a feasible plan.
If people want to meet up, show us the sights (ie. good pubs etc), that would be great!
