The weekend

This afternoon I am knocking off early to rehearse with my duet partner for my concert tomorrow and THEN I have been invited to have dinner at the Ambassador's house because the Ambassador of Ghana will be there and she thought it might be good if I can talk to her to ask her questions about my trip. At this stage, I will be going to Ghana from the 1st of September until the 1st (or so) of December. My parents have generously offered to pay for my board while in Ghana because they thing that what I am doing is very admirable and they know that I won't be earning anything at that time.

Tomorrow (Saturday), I have my final Nederlands klas (Dutch class) and then I have my performance of Bach duets. I'm quite excited but understandably nervous for this little venture. Getting paid just adds to the pressure because I feel I have to be 'worth' the money they are paying me to sing. Anyway, I'm sure it will go fine.

I have also just signed myself up as a volunteer for GREENBELT 2007 so looks like I will be in England for that. I have no experience of Greenbelt, just heard about lots of wibloggers and shipmates going along. Please tell me anything that will help me with this such as where I can cheaply stay.

My grandfather is back in hospital in a not-very-well state. Please keep him in your prayers.
