Firstly, Congratulations to my sister who announced on her birthday (today) that she is pregnant with her first baby. It will be the first grandchild for my parents. Here is a picture from her scan (I am assuming that is the head to the left):
Next, congratulations to my Oma and Opa who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on the weekend. The boy and I sent a slide for a power point presentation with a little message (in Dutch!) and a few photos from us. Apparently their were letters from the Govenor General, the Queen, the Dutch Ambassador.... etc, etc. Pretty impressive if you ask me! I missed out on sampling some of this amazing-looking cake:
Last but not least, congratulations to my cousin who recently announced her engagement to her lovely boyfriend. I wish them all the best and I look forward to seeing them on while they are on their honeymoon on this side of the world later in the year.

It is difficult and a bit sad that I am so far away from all these happy events and cannot be involved but I am enjoying the photos that I am being sent and hearing about all these wonderful occassions.
