I've managed to talk my way into the Melbourne Opera's next performance. They are doing Verdi's La Traviata. After the first rehearsal, I can see why they were so enthusiastic to let me sing; I was the only alto! I've been told they will be supplementing our chorus with some from the Melbourne Opera company so that makes me feel a bit better.
Now just have to memorise it by Saturday (performance is on May the 30th)....... eekk.
