Better Homes and Gardens recently emailed my work to ask if they could use a previous blog of mine which they then put on their website. I feel special :)

I have also done another work blog post. I volunteered for ANZAC Day which meant I was at work from 4am till 1pm on Saturday. It was cold, windy and showered with rain most of the time but it made me appreciate even more what we were commemorating.

Over the Easter weekend I volunteered at the National Folk Festival. I was one of the Stage Management Co-ordinators which proved to be rather stressful and my feet sure got a beating. I had blisters on the bottom of my toes after the first 7 hour shift where I was running from venue to venue to fix things. I was in charge of about 40 volunteers and 14 venues. Good for the CV and in hindsight, I did quite enjoy it.

Soon I'll be auditioning for Miss Saigon. I think the subject will mean more to me now that I have been working at the War Memorial and I do miss being involved in shows so it seemed like a good opportunity. It'll certainly be a change from opera to be singing musical theatre but either way, the audition will be a good experience for me. Wish me luck!
