Last week I was involved in a professional production of The Marriage of Figaro. It was a fantastic experience and an amazing opportunity for me to be around that kind of quality. My first surreal moment was walking into the dressing room and having my costume all neatly ironed and sorted out with my name in beautiful scroll written next to it :)

It was exciting to be involved in and it certainly was an adrenaline rush because the night that we performed it was the first night that we (the chorus) had actually had a sing through with the orchestra and soloists!

These are excerpts from the review that was in the Saturday paper:

"It was a constant delight"

"The singing from the whole cast was of a high quality throughout, and this, with fine support from the suitable small and well-balanced orchestra, brought a fine spirit to the whole performance".

"In opera-starved Canberra the two productions that Melbourne Opera has brought here this year have been like an oasis in a desert, and the audience responses have shown there is an audience for opera here. We can only hope this touring company will return next year".
