Merry Christmas to one and all!!! Thanks to everybody that has been so supportive of me in recent times and for those encouraging my wiblogging endeavours.
I have had about 4 hours sleep due to the Christmas Eve service and then getting up to see my parents off (indicating that my entry may not be terribly coherent!).
The Christmas Eve service went really well. I must say it was a blessing to have one of my fantastic friends there who wrote me the most beautiful Christmas card, that certainly cheered me up! The only real blunder came from not being given our notes at the Sanctus where the choir comes in straight away. Some people tried to push on through the line (on different notes and in different keys), it was stopped, the chord was played and we went on our merry way. It was just so lovely to have Opera Australia soloists and a wonderful chamber orchestra to sing with. Just beautiful.
I was going to be orphaned for Christmas lunch (my grandparents, whom I am staying with, are going elsewhere) but got at least two invitations last night so I should be fine.
My housemate is just one of the sweetest guys I know and has been terribly supportive of me recently. I do like him... hhhmmm... we shall see....
I'm going back to bed.
