Happy New Years Everybody! After running out of petrol about an hour before our hotel, we stayed at a small pub in a small town and saw in New Years that way. We had bought some alcohol but were too tired to drink it. We have saved our New Years Eve celebrations for tonight when we have less driving to do and will therefore be less tired.
It has been raining quite a bit here, we are currently in Invercargill at the southermost YHA in the world. Fortunately it clears up every now and again, allowing us to take photographs of the most stunning scenery. I can't wait to upload them onto my computer at home and look through them all!
