I am enjoying my 'down' time in Berwick but sometimes when I sit and watch the TV with the family I think that I could be at home watching it with my real family. Speaking of my real family, here is a picture of my 3 month old nephew:
The Berwick family leaves for Florida on Friday so I am minding the hostel for 3 weeks and they have given me an allowance to compensate for the work I will be doing.
I already seem to be ingrained in the local community here. After singing at Church on Sunday, I was invited to sing at evensong. Then on Monday I was asked to attend the junior choir practise to help them with their theory and sing with them. Last night (Tuesday), I was picked up and driven to a choir dinner. It was fabulous and everybody was really lovely. Funnily enough, I met the father of the 'beautiful soprano' [see last post] who is the current vicar [and yes Farli, it appears to be the same one. He bought his puppy - Cuthbert - to choir rehearsal. He is very hospitable, slightly eccentric and meets everybody at the church door before the service which I really like]. He tells me that she said a similar thing about me when she went home that day. That made me happy :)
I have booked myself a one week holiday to Ireland at the start of February. Have also checked out cheap flights to Marrakesh for a bit of an interesting hop-over before I head home but I'll have to think about it.
