The Honours and Knee meetings

Firstly, yesterday afternoon I chugged over to my supervisors office forever brimming with hope that he would actually be there. To my surprise, he was! He had not given me much direction on what to bring to the meeting so I was flailing a bit trying to explain what work I had done in the 8 months since I last saw him. I guess he could tell I was stressed so he told me not to underestimate myself. That was encouraging.

I now have an idea of what he wants from my work at the moment so I will do that over the next couple of weeks and then meet with him to discuss it.

*Finally* my specialist appointment came around this morning. For an 8.40am appointment, I was surprised that he was already running 50 minutes late! He basically told me what I had thought, that if the irritation keeps on occuring, I will have to have the staple out of me knee. He also said at my very early stage of osteo-arthritis, it's not really worth spending the money to take a drug like glucosamine which is mostly for the pain and swelling of later stages of the disease. It's not really a preventative measure. I guess that is some money I am going to save.

Currently sipping tea, listening to Gilbert and Sullivan and contemplating thesis work while I type away on my paid work.
