Swimming this morning and My Weekend

Here are two facts about me and swimming:

1. I love that moment when you get out the water that is stuck in your ear.
2. I really dislike people that join my swimming lane and then proceed to do butterfly down the middle of it.

I did 14 laps this morning which is particularly good (for me anyway)!

What did I do on the weekend? Hhhmmm, seems like such a long time ago.

On Friday night my boyfriend and I went out and got Goodberries after dinner (which is now called Jigsaw). It's a relatively 'fat free' product made of frozen custard. I proceeded to make it less 'fat free' by eating it with butterscotch sauce and almonds. Very nice finish to a long week.

On Saturday morning we drove out to a small historic town, 35 minutes drive away to eat brunch at a nice little cafe there. It was nice to get out of Canberra and particularly to spend time with my boyfriend just now that we are both getting rather busy. When we got home after looking through the Wood Gallery and a second-hand bookshop, I veged out for most of the day but did some work on my thesis.

In the afternoon I went to church choir rehearsal where I was given about 3 solos (including two solo songs, one of which is the Agnus Dei from the Bach B Minor Mass - beautiful!) for the Good Friday service.

That night for dinner my boyfriend and I went to a really good bar/pub that served fantastic food. I had salt and pepper squid and a gormet pizza that had roasted vegetables, pesto and bocconcini. Yum!

Sunday, I went to the 8am church service, had a BBQ lunch at the my new family's house (my boyfriend's parents). Then had about 4 hours of choir rehearsal. I had a coughing fit half way through a solo, but apart from that, the rehearsal went really well.

I'm glad we got away on Saturday morning for brunch, otherwise I would have felt a bit like I needed a break after my weekend!
