Weekend Update

I seem to do this, go to work and reflect on my busy weekends! This is no exception.

On Saturday I decided to make up some hours at work so my day went something like this:

9am - 12pm: Work
12pm - 2pm: Rehearsal for afternoon concert
2pm - 4pm: Work
4pm - 6pm: Concert
6pm - 8pm: After concert party
8pm: Home to relax and have an early night

At about 12am (I went to bed about 10pm), I was apparently talking to my boyfriend as he went to the bathroom so he came into my room, I don't really have a recollection of this but apparently it happened. It was then that he reminded me about daylight savings (and thank God too because I had already set my alarm and I really needed that extra hour of sleep).

Sunday went something like this:
10am - 11.30am: Sang two beautiful pieces of music at Church for my scholarship.
11.30am - 12.15pm: Tea at friend's house while I dropped off the video of 'Operatunity'
12.30pm - 3.30pm: Lunch at boyfriend's parents place
3.30pm - 4.30pm: Drinks at the pub with a friend whom I haven't seen in months
5.00pm - 12.30am: Folk Festival

The Folk Festival was fantastic. There are about 10 venues of all different sizes that are running acts simultaneously (so if you don't like something you just move somewhere else). I tend to prefer the more funny acts rather than the serious so I followed two groups of performers around ("The Spooky Mens Chorale" and "The Nudies"). Some venues were absolutely packed and it was a wrestle to find a seat.

There was one scary incident when I turned a corner to see my ex-boyfriend standing there. Fortunately he didn't see me or my boyfriend and we managed to escape unseen (I think). I don't want to cause any pain but it seemed to work out okay because we weren't seen.

Phew! No making up more hours by coming into work on this public holiday.
