Still Diseased

I went to the Doctors today just to make sure it wasn't anymore than the flu. Apparently I am getting over a serious throat infection (no surprises there). She gave me a script for antibiotics in case I feel like I need it. I have stuck it out this long so I don't think I will spend money on antibiotics.

Sadly, I must have sent my throat infection down the phone to my Friday night dinner guest :( She is no longer coming to Canberra, very sad. My boyfriend also appears to be coming down with whatever it was I had. Oh dear, I am infecting my dear friends.....

I went out on the farm yesterday. I did the tourist thing around Gunning with the historic homesteads and Church. It's nice to have a tour-guide friend that doesn't mind indulging my interest in historic things. We then drove out to his farm outside Gunning where he showed me around the 3 (!!) storey house that his parents have just built. It includes an observatory and theatrette. I just couldn't help thinking of how much cleaning must be needed for such a large house.

In the afternoon my farm friend and I went off to watch the Australian film Hating Alison Ashley.
We had the *whole* cinema to ourselves so we were very silly telling other people to sssshhhh and russling our lolly packets. It's quite a good film, very much a teenage chick flick but I had read the book in High School so I really wanted to watch it. One of those movies that you go to when you really don't want to think too hard.

Took some takeaway Indian home to my boyfriend who was a bit tired (and possibly a bit sick). He tells me was mostly upset that one of his students seems to want to quit.

It was early to bed for me as I try to recover completely. I think I may have to cancel a recording I was attending with my ex-choir tonight. Unfortunately, I'm just not well enough for it.

Prayers for my Oma who has her operation today.
