My boyfriend and I went to see Sin City last night. It was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Actually, I don't think I have ever walked out in a movie before then.
There was just gratuitous violence, a character whose voice I found highly irritating and a plot that I had absolutely no interest in following at all. I did not see the point. I appreciate that it was trying to be a bit different with the whole black and white thing but if it had been in colour, I wonder whether the critics would have liked it as much.
I was really annoyed I spent an hour of my life watching the start of the film but then I felt bad about leaving because my boyfriend gave me a free ticket to the movie.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.....
[after Miss Lisa's comment, edited to add - I did like the very first opening sequence and even didn't mind Bruce Willis' scene but I think it just went downhill after that and the whole scene about Goldie was the one that I found offensive. I wonder if I had stayed whether things would have been different but I was highly irritated]
