Burning the candle at both ends

I refuse to tell my mother just how many things I am doing at the moment (ie. finishing thesis, job searching, two concerts and a performance) because she will say I am 'burning the candle at both ends'. Maybe she is right, I was so ill last night and this morning.

I woke up with a sore back thinking that I had pulled a muscle but by the end of the day, all my muscles and joints were aching and I had an upset stomach. I then awoke the next morning to a headache as well. I slept, on and off, for about 16 hours last night. Hopefully that did me some good. I am feeling somewhat better this evening.

I had a naturopath appointment this afternoon. I went because I was interested and have always been curious about it. What fascinates me most is Iridology, I guess it's like reflexology but using the pupil of the eye. Apparently I have liver spots on a few of my hormonal points which means that I have a slow digestive system and could have hormonal problems later in life. I can help this by eating bitter greens (ie. rocket) and having dandelion tea. My eyes also show that I have a strong body and that I am stressed. I'm not quite sure how much I believe in all this stuff but I'm willing to give most things a go and I do like the holistic, natural approach. I have a bottle of herbs which contain Withania, Siberian Ginseng and Camomile to help me relax and concentrate.
