My best friend from Year 12 and who stage manages for some of the productions I am in is going to be mega rich and famous!
I found out yesterday that his major piece of assessment for his creative writing degree was a mini-drama about Tristan and Isolde. Someone convinced him to send his script overseas and it has just been purchased by the BBC! Colin Firth and Emma Thompson have read the script! AND he has just been contracted for 3 years and is being paid mega pounds to write scripts here in Australia for mini-drama series for the BBC. Things are really looking up for him since his father died last year.
I'm having lunch with him tomorrow. I am so happy for him (and a little jealous!).
