I was called to the Hildegard rehearsal at 8.45pm last night so I worked an extra 2 hours so that I didn't have to go home and come back into town again (I'm very conscious of all that extra driving considering petrol prices).
I went to the reheasal a little early because 7 hours of reading and literature searching had taken its toll. I then sat around for about 40 minutes while the 'choir' (ie. the virtues) rehearsed. That was fine until the Director expressed surprise at seeing me there. I reminded her that she had called me and my partner in crime (The Devil) for that rehearsal.
I sang ONE thing, that's right, ONE thing which consisted of 3 lines the whole time I was there. I dismissed myself when I realised I wasn't going to be singing anymore and they didn't need me. I went home, tired, annoyed and hungry.
I have a rehearsal for Hildegard again tonight but there are only 3 people called rather than the whole company. I guess I just feel that with my thesis due so soon, I wish people would be a little more considerate with my time. I will try and be more patient in future (and may even take my laptop so that I can be extra productive).
