After completing a literature search for 'remarriage and widowhood in the nineteenth century' I am now working on a project that involves the "the marriage of a deceased wife's sisters Act". This Act was passed in Australia around 1874 long before it was made legal in England. There were large debates about firstly, whether it is okay to marry your deceased wife's sister and secondly, about whether their marriage should be recognised if they move to England. It is mostly the Church debating about it and referring to many biblical verses which do not actually directly deal with this issue. It's all rather interesting.
I have booked myself in for my first professional massage next Tuesday, I am carrying alot of the stress I have with me in my back and shoulders so hopefully that should fix some of it.
