.. and I feel good in myself for doing so.
We were at rehearsals last night and so far we have managed to get by saying very little to each other besides a few stage directions. Anyway, I went to the toilet and she was in the bathroom doing her hair. That would have been fine except that it is a very tiny little bathroom so it would have been weird if I tried to slip by her without saying anything. I was finishing off a chocolate biscuit at the time so I made some reference about helping me fill out my dress (which was a joke because it's a very tight, full length red velvet formal dress - it's tight because I haven't worn it since about 1999!). Anyway, I bravely said that it was really nice having her in the show and we had a little chat about singing (her singing but that's fine..).
I was pretty proud of myself.
Rehearsals for Hildegard continue tomorrow night and I'm hoping it isn't too cold, standing on stage for an hour in a spaghetti strap dress certainly wasn't the most wise thing I did last night at the dress rehearsal. It will be fantastic to see Ian on Sunday and hopefully get an honest opinion of how it all went!
