On Monday I booked myself in for a full body massage and just had a fabulous time walking around feeling I didn't have to do anything in particular.
On Tuesday I went and visited my grandparents after shopping for 5 hours along King Street in Newtown (fabulous street of shops with hippy type clothes and unusual bits and pieces as well as second-hand bookshops and an array of foreign cuisines and trinkets).
On Wednesday I went to see Pride and Prejudice at the movies with my grandparents. Then I met Ian for an afternoon of fun and frivolity. This involved eating lunch and shopping at The Dutch Shop as well as eating gelato down the road (I really didn't eat as much as Ian implies!).
I then was offered some casual work at a hair accessories warehouse, filling orders. Any money is good money so I worked there on Thursday morning before driving back to Canberra. I am driving up there again on Monday to work most of the next week. It's kind of fun because the products are so beautiful but I can imagine the novelty would wear off in a few months (not to mention I have to drive from Canberra). My godparents have graciously offered their place for me to stay while I work there.
